February 12, 2013 at 9:34 am

The current generation Mazda3 is produced since 2009, but by and large, the current model of Mazda3 has undergone a deep restyling and thus is not anything like the first Mazda3. However, boths cars still have something in common, and the main thing here is the basis – both cars are made yet on a common platform also with the Ford and Volvo. Technology SKYACTIV, used in the Mazda6 and the new crossover CX-5, came to present Mazda3 in a reduced form. But with a new generation everything will change.

In addition to the 2-liter engines from the family SKYACTIV, the new Mazda3 received “the sky-active” design and will be very similar to the current Mazda6. The wheelbase of the new model will be 2 m 70 cm. Of course, all the technical innovations (energy recovery system i-LOOP with supercapacitors, Start & Stop system) and lightweight design of high-strength steel will also come with the new generation Mazda3.
