Mazda created resistant plant-based plastic

Mazda Motor Company jointly with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has developed a plastic based on vegetable raw materials. In contrast to these earlier compositions it has a good resistance to weathering and scratches. Its ultra-smooth surface similar to steel parts coated automotive paint and polished. So now the new product is suitable for the manufacture of the external elements of the body.
Mazda Company is one of the pioneers in the use of products from renewable raw materials, which helps to reduce dependence on the oil industry and reduces the so-called carbon footprint.
Although the experiments in this area is full of all continents – from fresh we can recall for example special plywood for interior created by the Finns, and plastic tomato, invented in the United States.

And the Japanese under the name Mazda Biotech material created a plant-based plastic for interior car parts and among the first to use the standard seat upholstery made of plant fibers. Now there is added to the list plastic with a wide range of applications and improved properties.
